We are over half way there but have only 4 days left in our campaign to raise the funds needed for filming Catherine in Boston as she goes for an unprecedented 5th win! More important than that, however, we will be there to capture her doing what she does just as naturally as running: inspiring student athletes. You can see Catherine's face just light up when she is around children. She is in her glory and children are drawn to her.
On Wednesday, our first scheduled day of shooting in Boston, John Hancock, in partnership with the Boston Scholar Athlete Program, brings members of Boston high school track teams together to meet and train with world-class marathoners, including past champions, Olympians, and top Americans.
I can't wait!
Please help ensure that we will have to funds to film all of the activities race week has to offer! Share our IndieGoGo campaign with everyone you know! click here to visit our IndieGoGo campaign

Is she going to perform well in boston?
ReplyDeleteKevin, she is feeling well so hopefully she will!
ReplyDeleteDid she ran the race? I don't see any results from her.
ReplyDeleteTher's no reason for her to drop out unless she's injured.
ReplyDeleteKevin, I'm preparing a new post but Catherine is not injured; she did run the race but there was a problem with her tracking. She had to stop running due to severe stomach cramps and she ended up in the hospital..I'll post more soon!
ReplyDeleteCatherine tracking has no splits. She dropped out before 5k?. Catherine should run through halfway to experience the course. Other people drop out at 30k.
ReplyDeleteShe had the wrong bib on; it was a ceremonial one presented to her during a media event. They forgot to replace it with the actual race bib which contained the chip. That is why she didn't show up on the tracker. She did not drop out until between mile 16 & 17. She has one of the highest pain thresholds of anyone so it must have been bad! She has WON Boston 4 times previously (the only woman to ever do that) so has definitely experienced the course!
ReplyDeleteThere's Dusseldorf Prague and Hamburg marathon coming up. Can she run those marathon? Catherine needs to post a qualiying time for the olympics.
ReplyDeleteKevin, she's running Gifu Marathon which will be held in Gifu-city, Japan on May 15th (Sun.) 2011
ReplyDeleteWhen's her next marathon outing? We should get Catherine to run Hokklaido Marathon in Japan. It's the next closest race for her to run.
ReplyDeleteHokkaido is the second largest, northernmost and least developed of Japan's four main islands.
ReplyDeleteHokkaido's weather is harsh in winter with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and frozen seas, while in summer, it does not get as hot and humid as in the other parts of the country.
With its unspoiled nature, Hokkaido attracts many outdoor lovers, including skiers and snowboarders in the colder seasons and hikers, cyclists and campers from June to September.
Kevin, it sounds lovely there! I'm not sure where Catherine is running next. I know her manager is working on it. If you're on Facebook, please look us up there. We have a lot of followers and I'm sure they'd love to see your comments as well! You can find us at https://www.facebook.com/WinCatherine
ReplyDeleteHowever, for Ndereba, who was representing Nairobi Province, it was a step closer to her target to reclaim her peak home as she seeks to return to track competition with a target of making the Kenya team to the world championship.
ReplyDelete“As I said, I have no idea if I will be running in the 5,000 or 10,000m race, but certainly I’m not after the marathon in Daegu,” she said.
Is she planning on running 10000 meters in Daegu? Did she made the marathon team?
Kevin, Catherine did not say she wouldn't run the marathon in Daegu. This was a misquote. She ran the 5,000 and 10,000 at the Prisons Championship last week and placed 3rd in the 5000 so she will be on the Prisons team, but she never made that comment about the World Championships.
